Rock Chalk!!!!!!!

The Jayhawks just won the national championship!!!!!! Go Hawks! We let E stay up for the whole game tonight (this may or may not have been a mistake on my part :), because we had a feeling there was going to be some history in the making. I wonder if he will remember this night when he is older. Probably just the screeching coming from Aunt Kim's side of the room. Ha! We love to tease her, but it really is fun to watch the game with her! :)

My little men wanted to wear KU stuff tonight - they were so proud of how they looked. Simon learned to say *Jayhawk* last week, just in time for the big game.
Asher enjoyed the cupcakes Aunt Kim brought - he even did a little finger painting. Here he is, predicting KU as number 1!!!!

We had quite the group over tonight. So fun! We're not sure we can sleep tonight!

It was a fun game, even if you aren't from KS! Our kiddos were up till the end, too. No wonder they're still sleeping.
Congrats KS fans!

Glad you had such a good time! What a game! We were at Phil/Kendra's along with Lindsey/Jeff. Jake and Gavin went down at halftime, and Nyah, who was asleep on Doug's shoulder at the end of regulation, somehow survived much yelling and jumping up and down. If it was football, she probably would have gotten spiked. :) poor baby. I considered it my motherly duty to hold her for the overtime. :) Sonja

It looks like you all enjoyed the game as much as I did! I raced to a friends house right after work and thankfully, due to her great HDTV, I didn't miss a second! I had a sore throat going into the game and now I've a bit of hoarseness to the mix! That's what I call great basketball!! :-) NOw, off to spruce up my KU wardrobe!! :-)

So glad you had fun! The kids and I got blizzards for our treats and it was so much fun to watch with them now that they really know the game and make more 'educated' remarks. D couldn't get to sleep last night because he was so excited!!! We slept until 9 this am :)

We were so excited too. You would have gotten a kick out of watching it with Nate too, he was thrilled to say the least!
That is so fun that E stayed up, A was up for most of it, but it started 3 hours earlier here. :) He got really excited whenever we did, it was cute.

It was fun, thanks for having us over. I don't think I'll be letting Benny stay up that late again any time soon though.

Guess who's in the wrong place to be a Jayhawk fan! We watched the game at a friend's house, (although they were rooting for Memphis) and Bryson was so excited he stayed up until Caleb drove him around to fall asleep in the second half. Wish I could be there to celebrate with you all! Anna

I know, Anna - we thought of you guys last night! It was amazing, wasn't it???!!!

It was amazing, although I could hardly cheer for fear of offending our friends here who were pulling for Memphis, and I'm afraid to wear my KU t-shirt around town lest I get shot! (Caleb says he doesn't think I would actually get shot, but I wasn't willing to take the risk!). Are you going to the parade on Sat? I remember going to the Pep rally in 1988 as a third grader! -Anna

Anna, I don't think there is a parade? Sonja didn't think so anyway. We will be at Turkey Hill anyway; Dave is directing volleyball weekend.
