4 year old wonder

Today I am thankful
for sweet children's smiles
and the happy sounds of
life at home.

It has been a good day. I woke up to a headache and some naughty behavior, so that wasn't so great, but things have improved with some consistency on my part. Isn't that always my story? I should know that by now, but I still forget.

I asked the boys if they wanted water or milk to drink for lunch. Si says, "Wilk, peese." Made me laugh.

We are on week 4 of a 10K training program, Dave and I. I am so proud of him for doing this with me. It is amazing how much more endurance I've gained over the last 4 weeks. I was barely able to run for 15 minutes before, and now I can go twice as long. And it feels good. I am actually starting to enjoy running again.

Swimming lessons start tonight, so I am off to take a shower!

Great shots, Rachel. I really like the one of Cam. Good use of thirds! :o)

What a great picture of a sweet little girl! Somehow you were able to capture the spirit in her eyes!

Good job on the 10k training program...that's so encouraging!

Glad to hear about your nice day.

That is sweet of Dave to do the training with you. Are you able to run together?
I've really slacked off in running the last couple weeks...

Jenica, we are mostly running on the treadmill. I run during the day, and he runs in the evening after the kids are in bed. We haven't run together yet...I'm not sure how that will ever work out, since we can't really leave the kids.

We DID play tennis together on our last date night, so that was fun. :)

Hey! There is a 5K race the 28th that Nate and I were thinking about running in Kansas. Would you guys want to run it with us?

Fun! June, right? Where is it? That would probably work out...give us more details.

I just found it online. Its at Johnson CCC, which is kinda a drive for you guys, but I think it would be fun. I'm thinking it starts at 9. I will try to find it again and send you the link.

I have to say that I'm impressed! You are the second couple today that I've heard who are training for a race together . . . good thing I'm pregnant! :)
