She loves her sling

I am just so in awe of having a daughter. We are already having so much fun together, and she can't even talk yet! But she is just a ray of sunshine most of the time - her sweet baby coo's assure me that she fully appreciates the big bows, bracelets, and cute, girly outfits as much as I do. Hopefully that's what she's been saying anyway. Haha!

She's been sleeping a 7 to 10 hour stretch at night for several weeks now, and every morning when I see her sweet face, I can't help but smother her with kisses. What a good little girl she is! (on a side note, perhaps this has something to do with why my middle child can't keep his lips off her? Just modeling my behavior!!!!)

Without the nighttime feedings, I should be rested and back to my old self, but I'm not quite there yet. Since her birth, we've packed the summer full with traveling and get-togethers with friends and family. Every bit of it worth it and FUN! But exhausting too...sometimes you just have to slow down a little.

So that's our plan...Dave is taking next week off, and we are sticking close to home. Our plan is to play with the kids. Relax. Eat yummy food. Sleep in. Watch movies. Swim. Snuggle our sweeties.

I cannot wait!

I'm not sure why but I am really excited for you guys to just stay home and do things as a family! Sounds like a really fun time :)

PS the pictures of simon and clare on the side of your blog looks so similar to me. Do you think they look alike?

yeah, as soon as I put them there, I was amazed at how much their faces look similar!

You guys are going to have SO much fun! The boys won't know what to do with themselves having dave home all day!

And just think, after the week is done, we'll be back and we can start up date night again! I can't wait for that!

Hi Rachel,

Your little girl is so adorable. Can you tell me what type of sling you're wearing and how you like it? I tried a few different slings with my little girl and didn't find one I liked.

Thanks so much,
Summer

Summer, it's a hotsling. You can find them online at hotsling.com, but I found mine in a boutique nearby. Love it!

I loved my sling also - so easy to fling over your head.

She is a doll! And her bracelet! Funny, I made a little anklet for L and did her hair always just so... then with Chlo, well, she was in a sleeper the first 6 months of her life.

I'm so glad to hear you're enjoying this baby so much and carving out time to all be together.

p.s. love your header photo

None of my kids have ever liked the sling, so I am a bit jealous about that. I have a really cute one if ever a child would agree to be happy in it. Have fun taking a break and spending some relaxing time with your family!

Thank you so much for the reply Rachel, I'll look up hotsling and see if they sell them nearby or if they'll post me one.
