Snow Day

It's been a good week - our families are adjusting nicely to an 11 person household (at least they are on our end!). The kids especially love having built-in playmates around. Lots of games around the table, art supplies have made it out several times, and someone is always fully decked out in dress-up clothes. Makes me laugh.

Today the kiddos woke me up with cries of, "Mommy, mommy, it snowed last night!" They were so excited to play in it today, especially with all the friends, who of course aren't as used to snow as we are. But the midday sun made for a nice day to play in it, and the kids had a blast. I had to make them come in for lunch, with promises of more snow days to come.

Oh, these pictures are great! Thank you so much for making it all work with boots for everybody. The kids can't wait to get back into the snow! :) We are having such a wonderful time. You all are such a blessing from the Lord. He knew we needed not only a place to live but also sweet friends. Love you too!

I also wanted to say thank you to being a "yes" mom. You didn't let a lack of snow boots stop you from figuring something else out when the kids wanted to get out in the snow. Your creativity and joy in motherhood are such an encouragement to me.

Hooray for newly fallen snow and new friends!!!

Looks like so much fun! I bet I can guess who it is who's always in dress-up clothes.

So glad everyone got to play outside in the snow...looks like they had a great time!
It makes me laugh to think of that much snow as a "snow day", oh to be back in the Midwest again. :)

How fun! I second the "fun mom" comment from Hope. It didn't even cross my mind to send my kids out! :)

I cracked up when I saw Gray's boots. :)
