did you guys climb mt quandary? i just read a thing on it and it said it was an "advanced" climb and to be prepared to have altitude sickness if you try to climb it your first day in the mountains. anyway, thought that was interesting after reading of your altitude sickness and seeing pics of you at the base of the mountain. LOVE all of your pictures. my entire family is thinking of planning a huge family trip to colorado in a couple of years and we are in the 'gather information' stage.
Eryn, Dave climbed it, but I didn't it. I don't think I'm in that kind of shape right now, and it was probably a good thing I didn't go. He had a pretty hard time (he felt pretty sick) on the climb up, but the whole time he was gone I was throwing up, just sitting on the couch in the cabin. I can't imagine what it would have been like halfway up a mountain. They probably would have had to life flight me out of there. :)
Dave said that it was probably the most difficult thing he's ever accomplished. However, that may have had something to do with him attempting it after only being in Colorado for a day and a half. My brother Michael, who lives in Denver, climbed with him and didn't have as hard of a time. He still thought it was challenging though.
I am a mother of 3 boys and a girl, married to the man of my dreams. My blog is just an attempt to consciously reflect on the goodness of the Lord in our lives, each and every day. I don't want to forget these wonderful years!
