Winter days

The boys have been doing lots of coloring lately. That, and playing Diego, watching videos, helping me clean the mirrors (hello, Motivated Moms...did you clean your mirrors today? :) ...basically nothing to really get their energy out. Anyone else ready for spring????

I alternate between pulling my hair out and counting my blessings. Sometimes things are so peaceful around here, and other times it is just oh, so NOT peaceful. :) These are the peaceful moments.

Simon has been talking a lot more recently, putting 2 and 3 words together: "I need that" and "what dat?" and "I wuv u" and "Go, Diego, Go!" He is obsessed with Diego...good thing Aunt Ruth bought a couple more Diego toys for his upcoming birthday! He was THRILLED!

That's right, Simon turns 2 next week! My baby isn't a baby anymore!

I have to clean my mirrors everyday..we must be a vain/messy bunch. :)

I feel a little honored that they are coloring on their aprons.

They certainly look very peaceful in these pictures but I figure if I'M having a hard time with this cabin fever than I can't imagine how it is for moms and their kids! Hang in there! Spring is around the corner...eventually!! :-)

PS..nope, my mirrors are still dirty! ;-)

I am so glad Si got the present and liked it! Happy early B day to him! :)

I feel you pain. Gymnastics and the Y gym are energy burners I'm trying to use...
But to have my kid's play outside lately would be child abuse. ;) Wind and tomorrow's suppose to be 5!
I think being indoors is especially hard on boys.

Yes, those are the aprons from Sunday School...they make great canvases, apparently. And Ethan has wanted to wear his and help me cook every night too. It's not the easiest thing to wear though. He has found that he can't bend over - it's too stiff. :)

Yes, they are hardly practical. It is no easy task to come up with crafts for some of these lessons. I have googled them to death, and I am still just left to my own wild imagination and craft cabinet. :)

I think this is the first year that I have truly understood the term "cabin fever". It has been just as hard for me as the kids, maybe even more so! I feel so incredibly isolated. I cannot wait for spring. I have been sending my kids out to the back yard, mud and all if it gets over 40. They desperately need the fresh air. Come spring, come! We are counting down the days over here.

In that last picture of the boys, Ethan reminds me so much of you Rachel. I think it is his expression.

I love that they are just laying on the floor coloring. I can't wait until Asher enjoys that simple pleasure. Right now crayons are fun to chew on. :)

I see that in the last photo E is wearing a name tag. Has the cabin fever got you so crazy that you have to label them in order to remember who is who?!
