We're baaaaaaa-aaaaaaack!

Our trip was wonderful; it was just so amazing to get away for a few days and talk. I highly recommend talking in a relationship...it's definitely underrated. :)

And I'm not sure how excited the boys were to see us when we pulled up. Turns out, grandparents are TONS of fun and exciting stuff happens all day long. So we will see how this week goes. :) It goes without saying though, we are just so thankful for Dave's mom and my parents who were willing to give up parts of their weekend to watch our boys.

So we took tons of pictures with our new Nikon, and so you'll probably get to see a bunch of them on here. We haven't really mastered photo editing yet, much less the actual taking of the photo...so this is a learning experience, folks!

That's all for now...it's late, and I'm still recovering from all the walking we did!

Great pictures. Isn't it a beautiful city? So clean.

The sore feet were also a memorable experience for me from Chicago. There is so much to see and no other good way to get around. It was worth it though, right!

I really like the pictures!! Do you ever scrap? Hehe..I scrap...and if it wasn't a falsehood (not a good idea when you're trying to preserve memories), I'd totally stick those pictures in with our trip to Chicago!! :) They'd be so fun to scrap! I love black and white.

So glad you got to get away with the hubby. The best thing you can do for your kiddos is to have a good relationship with daddy...and I guess that means that sometimes we have to talk to "daddy"! And the pictures are lovely. I'm a huge fan of black and whites.

Hi, Rachel.

I tracked you down through Shawna's site. For some reason, you didn't have anything under "blog name" on your profile. I just wanted to thank you for taking all that time to explain things to me. I really appreciate it!
