Swimming lessons

Sadie is adjusting nicely to life with us, I think. She sleeps in the garage at night, and during the day she stays in our yard. Her favorite perch is the bench right by the back door, where she can beg us with those sweet kitten eyes to come outside and play with her.

This morning while I mowed the backyard, the boys played in the pool and on the deck. Sadie was so happy to have us out there. Except when she got excessively petted by Simon, that is. She is tolerant, but does not stick around long when he comes around.

For the most part, they are both very gentle with her. I have been mildly surprised to see this, especially given their many other antics. These boys keep me on my toes, that's for sure.

Oh wait a minute...no, Ethan! You can't put the cat in the pool!!!!

It seemed like a good idea, to him anyway... and now we know, Sadie can swim!

What a bunch of beach babes! Oh, and glad to know I'm not the only wife that gets stuck with lawn duty.

Christina,
Ha! Yes, I am with you. :) But it is either that or pay someone to mow, which I am just too cheap to do! We all want family time when Dave is home, since he has such a busy job. So it is worth it to me. And I actually kind of like it. My boys do really well with it too.

Do you mow during the day?

I mow in the mornings before it gets too hot. We have a little over an acre of land (a little more than half of it is cleared) that I mow with a push mower. I think I lose ten pounds in water weight every time I mow!

Is there any way you can remove me from
