Menu Plan Monday

The kids painting the chapel shed

Something about fall makes me enjoy cooking and baking all over again, so my menus recently have been a little more inspiring. I'm going to try to save them here, so I can look back on them for inspiration when I get stuck in a rut ..... in oh, February or so.

brooklyn almost looks like she is with out shorts! :) Those are actually CAMRYN'S pjs! I guess she didn't want to ruin any of her own clothes, little stinker!

Your menu looks good, I'm loving keeping track of mine.

:) Great menu! Everytime I start to plan menus, I notice that my fridge is SUPER full. Right now I've got 5 servings of leftovers and we're cooking tonight and Thursday night. For 2 people that's A LOT considering we'll have more leftovers from those two meals! But, that just means way less trips to the store, or out to eat!! :)

That all looks yummy!

I don't know what I'd do without a menu. I don't plan for breakfast and lunch, thought, thinking I should...

Your meals look great! Wish we could swing by for one of them!
Let me know what you think of the Chicken Parmigiana, I've been wanting to try that since I saw it on her website.

I'll let you know, Ruth. I made the Hearty Beef and Noodles tonight - oh my goodness, it was so good. I'm going to be making that again.

So jump on the bandwagon and start posting your menu. :) I love to copy what other people are making - and it's always nice to hear reviews of recipes too.

Where do you get your recipes? Everything sounds so good!

Rory, anytime I come across a recipe online that sounds good, I just bookmark the page. And then when I'm menu planning on Sunday, I look through that folder for ideas. A couple good sites are:

http://www.thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/

http://www.myfirstkitchen.net

I'm sure there are tons of others, but I have loved everything I've tried from those 2 ladies.

Where do you get your recipes? Or do you mostly stick with the same tried and true ones?

Thanks Rachel! I have some tried and true recipes, but I always like to try something new! When fall comes around I'm always looking for great recipes for the crockpot. Thank you for your suggestions. I'll definitely look at them. I've gotten most of my recipes from different cookbooks, but have recently found a lot of wonderful recipes on www.allrecipes.com. I was also blessed with all of my Grandma's cookbooks and hand-written recipes when she passed away, so I have all our favorites from when I was a kid. Just wish I could cook as well as she did! :o)
