Oh, Christmas tree, Oh, Christmas tree...

We decorated the tree tonight. The boys have been impatient with anticipation, but we wanted to wait for an evening when we could all do it together. And it ended up being really special, so I'm glad we did. The boys are just in awe of everything Christmas - from their toy nativity set to the stockings hung with care - and it is so fun to see their wonder at the beauty of a Christmas tree.

We bought a real one this year, a fraser fir. I have to admit, it smells like Christmas now. But I think I have vacuumed every day since we got it. Ugh...give and take, I guess.

This little one inside is moving a lot these days - I am almost 18 weeks now. I saw my doctor this afternoon for a general visit, and he said I am measuring right on. So probably no twins, for those of you who have asked. :) I am just fat. Although technically the 5 pounds that the scale says I have gained shouldn't make me look so fat, but it is what it is, right? I guess we'll see if this pregnancy workout video delivers like it promises.

Ha!

No puking today. I feel absolutely glorious, and at least a little hopeful that this is a good sign of things to come. My doctor just chuckled at me, and said that in his opinion, morning sickness itself is a good sign and it makes him very optimistic. Thanks, doc. Just what I wanted to hear. :)

My sono date is set for a week from Tuesday. I can hardly wait to take another peek at this little one!

I bet you had a special night, I love those times.

The twins thing crossed my mind a while back, but I didn't want to scare you... I was twice as sick with the twins compared to with one. =) (Still not very.) As far as fat goes - whatever! You are always beautiful.

Are you finding out the sex? Can't wait for another update!

What a beautiful tree! I wish I could smell it...real trees do smell soooo good.

When I was at about five weeks with D.J. I started bleeding and we though we had lost him. After having tried for a year to get pregnant it was devistating. About a week later was when I started getting sick and I stayed sick until I was about 17 weeks. The scare of thinking I had lost him made it a little easier to be thankful for the sickness, which was a constant reminder that he was still there!

Glad to hear that relief is in sight, though. Especially when trying to keep up with two other boys! So exhausting!

Hi Rachel! You look great! So does the Christmas tree, but you're more cute! ;o) We're in the process of putting ours up...hopefully we'll finish tomorrow. Thanks for your post last post and sharing about what the Lord is teaching you, such an encouragement. I always found it interesting that when Abraham left to go up the mountain with Isaac that he said, "we" will return. It amazed me the faith Abraham had in God and His deliverance. What video are you using? We have a little wonderful suprise on the way and I would like to do something besides walking, especially with it getting so cold out.

Glad to hear that you had a good day in the midst of so many tough ones. You truly are amazing...I would have given up during the first week of sickness. Hope that it ends soon.
Can't wait to hear what you are having. What do the boys hope for this time around? Don't forget to tell us as soon as possible. We all will be anxiously awaiting the news.
